January 24, 2011: In the wake of the Queensland floods, the clean up process begins.
For thousands, their lives have been turned upside down. For many photographers there may be a greater worry for them – their livelihood. Many photographers operate home based businesses which mean that they have not just lost their homes but also their source of income.
To help these photographers get back on their feet, the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) has established a “Disaster Relief Fund” which will provide all flood-affected existing AIPP members free membership for the year 2011.This offer is applicable to some 466 Queensland based members.
Any Queensland members affected by the floods are asked to contact AIPP national office on 03 9856 0700 for further details.
