Adobe has announced new, 2019-branded versions of its Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements image and video editing applications.
Making use of Adobe Sensei AI technology, Photoshop Elements 2019 will enable users to create photo and video slideshows and collages for immediate viewing on home computer and TV screens. A new home screen design makes it easier for novice users to use the application by providing quick links to help and tutorials, inspiring ideas and fun things to try. Step-by-step guided edits have been improved with four new Guided Edits, bringing the total up to 53. New features include turning photos into memes or sketches, creating visual text that features a different photo inside each letter and adding text and border overlays. Overall performance of the software has been improved and there is new file support. Photoshop Elements 2019 is available for downloading here. The RRP for the full version is AU$145.19, while an upgrade from a previous version costs AU$116.59.
Adobe Premiere Elements 2019 features the same home screen as Photoshop Elements and similar tutorials and creative editing functions, including the ability to create automated photo and video slideshows. A new ‘Quick Edit’ mode provides step-by-step guidance through functions like trimming and combining clips and adding photos, titles and music, bringing the total Guided Edits up to 20. Premiere Elements 2019 has the same prices as Photoshop Elements 2019 and is available to download here. You can buy both applications bundled together for AU$219.99 or upgrade the pair for AU$175.99.
