Adobe has released updates for Photoshop Lightroom and Camera Raw/DNG Converter.
The updates to Lightroom CC 2015 5.1 and the perpetually-licensed Lightroom 6.5.1 application mainly involve bug fixes and include fixes for:
– Droplets not working as export actions;
– Incorrect folder permissions;
– Missing EXIF lens name for some camera models;
– Loss of focus in the keyword panel when navigating to the next image;
– Error when merging to HDR or Panorama from a collapsed stack.
Dependencies on QuickTime for some video codecs on Windows have also been removed.
Camera Raw 9.5.1 adds support for the new Pentax K-1 and Sony RX10 III cameras, corrects an issue with missing EXIF lens name data and errors when using Camera Raw to tone HDR images from Photoshop and converting 32-bit files to 16 or 8-bit files. For Mac users, Camera Raw 9.5.1 will be the last version to support OS X 10.7 (Lion) and OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion). Users must upgrade to at least OS X 10.9 Mavericks to receive future updates with new camera support.
Adobe has also released Lightroom Mobile for iOS version 2.3 for both iPad and iPhone. The new version reduces the number of steps taken to access and edit images from the Camera Roll and improves the custom sorting function. Some minor bug fixes have also been applied.
All the updates can be installed via the built-in updaters of each app. Links to the updates can be found at http://blogs.adobe.com/lightroomjournal/.
