Adobe has released updates for its Camera Raw, DNG Converter and Lightroom products, adding recently-released cameras and correcting minor flaws.
Adobe Camera Raw and DNG Converter have been updated to version 7.4, while the Lightroom update is version 4.4. Twenty-five new cameras gain support in the updates, including the Canon EOS 1D C, 700D and 100D; Fujifilm X100s and X20; Nikon D7100, Coolpix A, Nikon 1 J3 and Nikon 1 S1; Samsung NX300 and Sony SLT-A58 and NEX-3N. Lightroom 4.4 also includes an improved demosaicing algorithm to provide better raw file support on cameras with X-Trans sensors, such as the Fujifilm X-Pro1. Thirteen lens profiles have been added.
Lightroom 4.4 and Camera Raw are available as free downloads for existing users of Lightroom 4 and Photoshop CS6. Links to the updates for Windows and Mac can be found at https://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/. Camera Raw should be installed via the update mechanism in Photoshop CS6.
