June 5, 2007: Adobe has released the latest version of its raw file conversion plug-in for Photoshop and Photoshop Elements, adding support for 13 new digital cameras and backs.
Newly supported cameras for Camera Raw 4.1 include the Canon EOS-1D Mark III, Fujifilm FinePix S5 Pro, Nikon D40, Olympus E-410 and SP-550 UZ and Sigma SD14 as well as seven Phase One camera backs. Improvements have also been made to noise reduction and sharpening facilities.

The new plug-in is available in Windows and Macintosh versions. It can be downloaded from the Downloads page at www.adobe.com and can be downloaded as a stand-alone application or in combination with Adobe’s DNG Converter. Note: Photoshop Lightroom 1.0 does not require the download available on this page in order to provide the latest Camera Raw support. Lightroom will provide a notification and update instructions when new camera support is available.
