Adobe Systems has released a public Beta version of the latest update to its Camera Raw raw file conversion software.

October 7, 2006: Adobe Systems has released a public Beta version of the latest update to its Camera Raw raw file conversion software.

The new version (v. 3.6) replaces the original Camera Raw plug-in that was installed with Adobe Photoshop CS2 and Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0, 4.0 and 5.0 software. It is not compatible with versions of Photoshop earlier than Photoshop CS2 or versions of Photoshop Elements earlier than Photoshop Elements 3.0. Camera Raw 3.6 adds support for the following recently-released cameras: Canon EOS 400D, Leica D-LUX3, Leica Digilux 3, Nikon D80, Panasonic DMC-LX2 and Pentax K100D. It can be downloaded free of charge from www.adobe.com/support/downloads/.
