Adobe Systems has announced two new products for digital photo and digital video enthusiasts: Photoshop Elements 4.0 and Premiere Elements 2.0. The fourth version of Adobe’s best-selling consumer photo editing software, Photoshop Elements, adds powerful and intuitive ways to organise, edit and share photos. These include a new Magic Selection Brush that allows users to select specific parts of photos for easy colour, lighting and contrast adjustments.

A new Magic Extractor easily extracts subjects from photos, with advanced edge de-fringing that is ideal for composites. Smart technology has also produced improvements, such as automatic red eye removal across a batch of photos, one-click skin tone correction and Face Tagging, which allows users to keep photos at their fingertips with new ways to find and view them.
