Adobe Labs has made available the latest release candidate version of the Camera Raw 8.5 plug-in for Creative Cloud.

The new plug-in includes a number of new features and adds support for six recently-released cameras. New features include the following improvements:
– The ability to modify Graduated and Radial Filter masks with a brush.
– Mask visualization is now available for the Graduated and Radial Filters.
– A new Per-Panel Preview default toggle has been added.

There have also been a number of bug fixes, relating to raw images from the Fujifilm X-T1 and NEF.RAW files from nine older Nikon DSLR cameras. Image noise has also been reduced when applying spot healing to floating-point (HDR) images.

Support has been added for the following cameras: Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark II, Fujifilm FinePix S1, Nikon 1 J4   and V3 models and the Olympus OM-D E-M10. Preliminary support is provided for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH4. Fourteen new lens profiles have been added to the list of supported lenses.
