October 1, 2008: The Australian Centre for Photography will hold the first of its regular Portfolio Review Panels on Wednesday, 12 October between 6 and 8 pm.
This is an excellent opportunity for photographers to have a portfolio of work evaluated by a panel of three industry professionals. Panellists will be drawn from exhibiting artists, Workshop tutors, commercial practitioners and other high profile guests. The review panel will address technical issues involved in the production of the work, provide critical feedback on conceptual approaches and discuss professional opportunities for the work.
The topic for the first review panel is Open. Only six candidates will be selected for each review. The cost to each candidate will be $50. Each candidate will receive 15 minutes of feedback from the panel.
Photographers interested in submitting a portfolio of work for evaluation are invited to send their submission in the form of 10 digital images no larger than 1200 x 1000 pixels (or A4 at 72 dpi) on a CD or DVD to Julie Sundberg, Education Manager, Australian Centre for Photography, 257 Oxford Street, Paddington NSW 2021. Submissions must arrive before Monday 27 October. The photographer’s contact details should be included with the submission.
Photographers who are not selected for the first review may re-submit at a later date. Those who are selected for the Review Panel will be required to bring a print portfolio. For more information, phone (02 ) 9332 1455 or visit www.acp.org.au.
