A pop-up exhibition of the images from new and emerging photographers opens at the Australian Centre for Photography on Thursday, 21 February from 6-8 pm.
The Photostart exhibition showcases the works of Australian Centre for Photography students from Term 3 and 4 2012. It will be open to the public from 22-24 February.
The ACP is also relaunching Photofile, the region’s oldest art magazine seriously dedicated to photography, which will mark its thirtieth year in 2013 with new print and digital versions in March and September. Edited by Michael Fitzgerald (managing editor of Art & Australia from 2008 to 2012) and designed by Robbie Whitehead (Apartamento magazine), Photofile will be available in selected bookstores, art galleries and specialty shops in Australia and New Zealand, with a cover price of AU$19.95 and NZ$23.
