The Australian Centre for Photography is hosting an exclusive five-day workshop with two Magnum photographers at the beginning of May.

The photographers, Olivia Arthur and Bieke Depoorter, will be the first Magnum photographers to be involved in an event of this type in over five years. The program will focus on developing personal story ideas and refining practical knowledge. Both photographers are known for their in-depth and intimate storytelling approaches. The format of each workshop is centred around small groups of no more than 14 participants, ensuring an intimate and supportive atmosphere. Through an intensive schedule involving shooting, group critiques, editing sessions and lectures, participants will have a unique experience with like-minded peers and industry leading photographers.

The workshop will take place for five days between Tuesday, 1 May and Saturday, 5 May 2018, inclusive. A public lecture featuring Bieke Depoorter and Olivia Arthur  will take place on Thursday, 3 May 2018, 6.30-8 pm.
