The Australian Commercial & Magazine Photographers (ACMP) association is seeking entries for its annual Student Photographer of the Year awards, which close on 21 November.

More than $8000 worth of prizes is up for grabs in this competition, which is open to photography students who are 18 years old or over. Entries will be accepted from students located in both Australia and New Zealand. Entrants can submit work in up to three of the following categories:
 Portraiture and fashion
 Commercial and corporate
 Fashion, editorial, catalogue and beauty
 Advertising, still life and food
 Documentary and sport
 Architecture and industrial.

A $40 fee applies for each category entry and four images must be submitted for the category to win the category prize.

The overall winner of the ACMP Student Photographer of the Year will receive sponsors’ prizes valued at AU$1650. Winners of five other category prizes will receive sponsors’ prizes valued at AU$700, while six runners-up in the various categories will receive sponsors’ prizes valued at AU$400. The tertiary institution from which the main prize-winner came will receive a framed certificate plus sponsors’ prizes valued at AU$750. All winners and runners-up will receive certificates.
