March 6, 2008: ACDSee Software is offering customers a free copy of Nuance PDF Converter Professional 5 when they upgrade to the latest ACDSee Pro 2 image editing and workflow management software.
The new version enables users to view and edit raw files as fast as JPEGs. It also provides raw image previews and non-destructive background raw processing. Processed raw images can be saved in up to 14 file formats at multiple resolutions and users can rename and resize files and embed a color profile as part of the process. A full range of editing controls is provided in the application, including colour and lighting adjustments.
The Shadow/Highlights tool now includes a light equaliser tab for control of up to nine tone bands, and an Advanced tab that allows you to control curves by clicking directly on the image. Channel-mixing monochrome conversion is also supported. The application also supports a wide range of image management tools, including customised cataloguing and searching via metadata, keywords, ratings and events. You can also read, write and create sidecar files for raw files to keep images and data connected.
Nuance PDF Converter Professional 5 provides comprehensive control over PDF file conversion while enabling users to produce standard, universally-readable PDF files without having to switch applications. The combined bundle sells for US$90.99. For details visit www.acdsee.com.
