Powerful dual handshake correction
For the first time, Panasonic offers Dual I.S. with powerful hand shake correction for both the GX8 body and G Series lenses. Four-axis in-body and two-axis lens stabilisation combine to achieve steady shooting that’s never been seen before in this class of camera. Blur is suppressed in both wide angle shooting and at the tele end for shake-free handheld shots in low-light, slow shutter speed situations.

Next generation 20.3 Megapixel Live MOS sensor
Ushering in the next generation of Panasomnic’s G Series image quality, the 20.3-megapixel Digital Live MOS Sensor delivers new levels of detail, outstanding low-light performance and impressive dynamic range. The sensor’s increased resolution offers a range of benefits to discerning photographers and will see the GX8 find a home in the kit of landscape and studio photographers who value the ability to get larger, more detailed prints, and the increased flexibility in editing, such as cropping and levelling to improve shots.
4K video and 4K Photo capability comes to GX Series
The powerful sensor and engine bring 4K technology to the GX8, with Panasonic’s latest 4K video and 4K Photo capabilities capturing every moment in impressive clarity. In video, this means you can record at four times the resolution of full-HD (3840 x 2160, 25p and 24p, 100Mbps), resulting in crystal-clear footage that captures the most intricate of details. Exclusive to LUMIX, the GX8’s 4K Photo technology gives you up to 60 images taken from one click of the shutter button. For instance, using 4K Pre-burst mode, you can capture every moment from a second before to a second after you’ve pressed the shutter button, at an amazing 30 frames per second. That gives you 60 frames to choose from, so even if your shutter finger missed the magic moment, the GX8 may well have caught it for you.

2.360k-dot OLED LVF, with free-angle LCD touchscreen
Photographers will find Panasonic’s Live Viewfinder a joy to use, offering higher magnification than ever before ““ 0.77x (35mm camera equiv.). The OLED technology and 2,360K-dot viewfinder provide excellent clarity and sharpness when shooting. For greater versatility, a new free-angle design has been adopted for the 3-inch 1,040K-dot OLED touchscreen rear monitor. It offers a wide viewing angle and rotates 180 ° to the side and tilts 250 ° up and down, with approximately 100% of field of view.
Ready-for-action rugged magnesium alloy body
The GX8 is designed with the diehard photographer in mind, with a classic magnesium alloy frame complemented with textured PU leather and a prominent handgrip for greater comfort during extended shooting sessions. What’s more, weatherproof sealing means the GX8 can brave the elements with you, when photography is taking you places that ordinary cameras would fear to tread.
