Can I Kick It?
I shot this image backstage at a Horrorshow/Thundamentals concert in Brisbane. An incredible and unreal experience as I’d grown up listening to these guys as my favourite artists.

I initially started taking photos on my mum’s old camera, a mix of learning through YouTube and teaching myself, then went on to study a course in filmmaking and commercial video.

After finishing the course about three years ago I was excited to see that Camera House Lismore was hiring. I applied and have happily been here since.

Since then I’ve learned more every day through working at Camera House and been able to apply it to my photo and video work. I like the passion you see from both staff and customers at the store. We are always learning and teaching each other new things or different ways to do something photographically.

I stood in this tunnel at Tasmania’s MONA for at least 15 minutes waiting for it to be empty. There were a lot of attempts, lots of holding my breath and bracing. Finally I got a photo that won the Camera House’s Photographer of the Year Award.

I Wonder
