We had an impressive response, particularly from some of our most loyal contributors, but this time around we’re pinning the blue ribbon on Chris Puechmarin’s elegant study of married couple and co-shopkeepers George and Margaret in their shared shop. For his effort, Photo Review is pleased to send Chris a Photo Safe II 250GB portable storage device.

When it came to our first runner-up, we had a real struggle between Darren Martin’s ‘Mowhawk Man’ and Pene Stevens’ nicely composed and lighted mechanic. In the end we decided to give Darren the nod because, as with our winner, the image made us curious to know more about an intriguing character.

Frequent contributor (and recent Photo Review Inspirations interviewee!), Zorica Purlija continues to find compelling images in everyday circumstances ““ as the portrait of her sleeping daughter amply demonstrates.

Also earning an honourable mention is Peter Armitage’s classically structured study of an artist lost in the process of creation.
