We asked Photo Challengers to dial in a slow shutter speed and then to ‘pan for success’ in Challenge #41. Since it was such a wide open brief we didn’t have any particular expectations about what we might receive. But, as usual, the creative responses ranged widely across the blurry landscape of slow shutter photography.

This is my first attempt at a challenge. This was taken last week at the horse cutting, in the indoor horse complex at Tamworth. Cutting is very fast, as well as being indoors, and not owning expensive fast lenses this was a challenge – for me at least. I also needed a high ISO as I was not using flash. It is my nephew’s wife on the horse, I quite liked the horse’s eye being sharpish while the rest is blurred, which may be not what you are looking for, but I thought I would at least have a go.
