Challenge 18 was to get down low and to shoot upward. Peter Cook, our winner, went lower than any of the entrants in his search for an interesting angle.
Challenge 18 was to get down low and to shoot upward. Peter Cook, our winner, went lower than any of the entrants in his search for an interesting angle. ‘This is a photo of a “ring bubble” that I blew while laying on the bottom of my parent’s pool. I took this image with my brother’s Canon A70, with underwater housing, just before the ring gets too big and the bubble bursts. It took a couple of goes to get the timing right, but it makes for an interesting image.’ Peter has won a Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop Executive Edition for his creative image. A worthy second runner-up to Peter’s photo is an image entitled ‘Overpowering of the Church’ by first-time Photo Review reader lainy Ketelaars. We liked the juxtaposition of the arched forms and the looming shapes of the buildings: And speaking of looming, we think Erin Francis’ two blue buildings, aptly entitled ‘Heights and Depths’ is a fine architectural study: Details of the current Photo Challenge are published in Photo Review magazine.
