Don’s response

There is something oddly satisfying about the zebra’s highly distinctive colouration and in this picture, photographer Caroline Ellis captures the way those stripes help the animals to blend together.

Given that the focus is a touch soft, I think this picture will work best as a small, slightly contrasty print so that the symmetry and graphical quality of the animals’ striking patterns tell the visual story.
