What a moment to capture. The position of the birds is spot on.
There is something quite satisfying about the way misty conditions create a sense of depth with the nearer bird being darker and the slightly more distant ones made progressively lighter.
And talk about the decisive moment, how about those synchronised wings? The three reflections on the water in the foreground are a nice touch and so too are their respective take-off wakes.
Capturing birds in flight is always a challenge, so managing to get three of them at such a beautifully balanced moment is something quite special.
