Architectural photography is not unlike portraiture in that the object of the exercise is generally to convey character.
And as with portraiture, the lighting, location and angle all need to come together if you’re going to tell the visual story accurately.
Photographer Richard Phillips has taken advantage of the delightful Scottish weather and a well-positioned figure to convey the scale, mass and subtle delicacy of the architect’s vision.
