Notoriously flighty and difficult to keep in frame, this little chap was so happy with his Inchworm that he stayed on the same branch showing off for a good 60 seconds. His girlfriend finally turned up to yell at him.

If this was simply a picture of a Superb Fairywren and his prize, it would still be a keeper, but with the open-beaked mate in the background, it moves into the ‘special’ category.
I’d love to know how many frames photographer James Wooldridge had to shoot in order to get this amusing scene from the lives of his two subjects.
