The first day of winter. The cold, frosty morning and the dew drops are glistening and dancing on the delicate blades of grass.
The complimenting bokeh allowing the drop to be the centre of attention.
Don’s response
Susan Shanta’s attention to the minute details of the world allows her to spot — and capture — tiny gems such as this spherical dew drop poised like a crystal ball at the tip of a blade of grass.
The bokeh is indeed an important feature of this composition. It mayn’t have been possible given the almost microscopic size of the drop, but the picture might have benefitted from Susan getting in a bit closer so as to give the central subject more prominence.
