Both the composition and the punched up HDR colour reminded me of a Jeffrey Smart painting. About the only thing missing is one of the late artist’s enigmatic figures.
Although it’s very much dominated by the strong geometric lines and the symmetry of the structures, the whispy clouds in the rich blue sky and that moustache of vegetation with its interesting ragged shadow, offer a subtle natural counterpoint.
The picture is both vivid and still at the same time. A beautiful piece of work.
