This was an old house still in use. I had taken this shot just after first light and liked the rustic look of it.

Don’s response
This image put me in mind of the work of the pictoralists. Ray Baker doesn’t say anything about his post processing techniques, so as a viewer I’m left to speculate about how much he pre-visualised this particular outcome. I have no problem with such extensive post-production editing if the final result is expressive.
Whilst I think this is a nice piece of artwork, there seems to be a struggle between the original subject and the way it’s presented. Perhaps it’s just me, but I feel as though the old look has overwhelmed the old house.
