It was tricky getting our boat into the right position for this shot. Afterwards the fisherman paddled over and put his hand out for a dollar or two. I think they earn much more posing for photographers than from fishing!

Photographer Dennis Friend’s beautifully-timed picture is positively balletic.
One wonders how the elements of sun, fog, net, fisherman and boat might have looked from a position more to the right…
Such speculations notwithstanding, this is a strong picture captured at just the right moment.
