This is such a simple and yet beautiful image produced — as so often is the case — on the spur of the moment with the tools at hand.
There is something about its muted, monochrome, slightly grainy look that connects it in my mind to an earlier era.
It has that feel of a time when documentary photographers were using little 35mm cameras to discover new, more impressionistic ways of capturing the tiny moments that add up to everyday life.
