Milford Sound is without question one of the world’s great landscapes. Its combination of precipitous cliffs and often spectacular weather almost guarantees a memorable photographic experience.
Photographer Terry Charles’ picture from the stern has captured the famous location in a dramatic mood.
I like the way the curving line of the wake leads our eye into the mysterious distance where that hazy shaft of sunlight comes down from on high.
