Brightly coloured flowers with water raining down on them in the bright sunlight.

The contrast of the warm colours with that of the cool water.

Don’s response

At first glance Susan Shanta’s floral study looks as though it might be a product of some kind of filter applied during the editing process.

But the quite painterly effect of the blurred drops and slightly out of focus flowers can be accounted for by the shutterspeed Susan used when capturing the image.

I like the placement of the central subject and the vivid colour of the blooms.

Simple and elegant.
