While not a complex picture, there is something quite satisfying about the scene.
I like the little details as for instance the way the man’s shirt reveals that he’s leaning back against the window and the fact that somebody’s kicked the wedge holding the door open so that it doesn’t poke out.
It would be fun to see if Adrian could have opened up the shadowed interior by giving the image a longer exposure.
While I understand the impulse to include the sign top left, I’d like to see how the image would change if he’d cropped in from just below the lintel top and in from the left to a point just shy of the outer edge of the door.
