The walkway passes under the deck of the bridge, and I took this when a cyclist decided to stop to admire the view.
I use Micro Four Thirds because my kit is very light compared to full frame, and the end result is I like to take it with me more often.
Don’s response
I heartily concur with Glenn’s choice of the kind of kit that he knows he’ll use most often.
This photograph has an interesting dynamism between the vigorous curve of the bridge and the way our eye is directed into the bright, sunny landscape by the cyclist looking out upon it.
The exposure is spot on, but I think it might be worth seeing if one could maintain that hot afternoon feel while also intensifying the landscape side of the picture with a little more contrast in the sky (as one would get for instance with a yellow filter and black and white film).
I also think the shadow values in the darker areas of the bridge might stand a third of a stop or so decrease to get just a wee bit more contrast between the two parts of the scene.
