May 29, 2008: Independent colour-management specialist, cielab, has been appointed as agent for the Ilford inkjet product range and has launched a low-cost online consumables store.
The company will offer the Ilford, Omnijet, Ilford Professional and Gallery product ranges via an online service that is backed by industry specialists with the knowledge and expertise to support any questions regarding the product range. Cielab MD Michael Rooney is an acknowledged colour management expert and loves to share his knowledge. Based in Brisbane, cielab has agents in NSW, with agreements soon to be in place with a network of agents across Australia.
The new website lists quantity-based pricing up front, so the price paid does not depend on who the buyer knows or how well they know them. Retail prices are competitive, with volume discounts. Purchasers simply log on, order what they need, the price is worked out instantly, and their order is delivered within a few days. A freight calculator shows instantly what the cost of delivery will be, so the total cost is known before an order is confirmed. Delivery depends on location, but averages around five days, or two-to-three days for the east coast. Delivery ETA notifications can be tracked for all orders both online and via email.
