Seagate Unveils FreeAgent Theatre+

November 4, 2009: Seagate has released its new FreeAgent Theatre+ [Plus] HD media player in Australia.

Designed to enable digital photos and movie clips to be played on home entertainment systems, the FreeAgent Theatre+ comes with a docking system that provides a quick and easy way to connect an external hard drive, such as Seagate's FreeAgent Go portable drives, to any television or home entertainment centre. Movies and image files stored on the drive can be viewed on the TV screen in 1080p HD video with DTS 2.0 + Digital Out, or Dolby Digital technology.

The interface is easily navigated with the included remote control and you can choose from video, photos or music with the up/down arrows on the remote to make your selection. All popular image and video formats are supported.

The Seagate FreeAgent Theatre+ HD media player includes two additional USB ports for connecting other USB attached storage devices. It also comes with an Ethernet port for network connectivity. The bundled software is a rich media-specific synchronisation application that enables the automatic transfer and organisation of all photo, music, video and movie files stored on a connected hard disk drive or computer.

The FreeAgent Theatre+ HD Media Player carries an RRP of $219 and is available as a standalone unit. Learn more at http://www.seagate.com.
