Sanyo Unveils First Waterproof HD Dual Cameras
March 18, 2009: Sanyo has released details of two new waterproof cameras that allow users to record still images and HD video simultaneously without interrupting the movie flow.

Both models can be used underwater for up to 60 minutes.
The new cameras are flash memory based, which conserves battery power while in use. They are also compact and lightweight, making them ideal 'take anywhere' cameras for family photographers.

The VPC-WH1EX has a horizontal design and 30x zoom lens, the largest zoom of any current waterproof camera. Offered in yellow or blue with pearl-white highlights, it will sell for an RRP of $749 and is waterproof to three metres. HDMI outputs on the VPC-WH1EX allow users to connect the camera directly to a TV set for large-screen viewing and ensure compatibility with future digital products.
