February 23, 2010; Ricoh has released details of two new camera units for the GXR interchangeable unit camera system, which was introduced last December.
Tentatively named the Ricoh Lens P10 28-300 mm F3.5-5.6 VC, this unit features a back-illuminated CMOS sensor and a high-magnification 10.7x optical wide-angle zoom lens (28-300 mm in 35mm format). It also provides an original Ricoh noise reduction function and supports 120 frame/second high-speed continuous shooting. Other features include nine levels of image settings adjustments, support for raw file capture and multi-target autofocusing. This unit is expected to be available from the first quarter of 2010.

The GR Lens A12 28 mm F2.5 camera unit is scheduled for release from the third quarter of 2010. It features a 23.6 mm × 15.7 mm (APS-C size) CMOS sensor, GR ENGINE image processor and newly developed 28 mm fixed-focal-length GR lens. Manual focusing is available via a dedicated ring on the lens, which allows precise focus adjustments.
