Photoflex Constellation3 Lighting Kit

June 30, 2008: Borge's Imaging announces the arrival of the Photoflex Constellation3, the first multi-lamp fixture with an E39 Mogul Base.

Designed to provide a
continuous lighting solution for film, video and photography applications, it can accept tungsten or daylight-balanced fluorescent lamps making it suitable for a wide range of lighting ideas or situations. The Constellation3 light head features an industrial grade 20 amp separate power switch for each of its three lamp sockets, making it simple to control the amount of light needed with a quick flip of the switch. It can accept up to three CoolStar CFL lamps for daylight-balanced lighting (these lamps deliver the equivalent of 500w each or 1500 watts when all three are used). Alternatively, three Starlite Lamps can be used for 3000w tungsten balanced lighting, or the head will accept up to three Bi-Pin Adapters for ceramic based 2 pin G9.5 lamps.

The Constellation3 includes an integrated connector ring for SilverDome or WhiteDome softboxes. It also features all metal tilt/swivel adjustment with a tilt range of 170 degrees. The kit comes with two power cords and a rigid Transpaccarry case. It fits all Photoflex medium, large, and extra large soft boxes, excluding OctoDome. Purchasers can build their own kits to suit individual requirements (typically, a Constellation 3 with 3x Coolstar lamps and a large SilverDome retails for around $2000.00).
