Olympus Updates E-P1 Firmware

January 12, 2010: Olympus has posted a firmware update for its Pen E-P1 interchangeable-lens compact camera.

The new update reduces the time needed for the MF Assist enlarged display to improve operability and enables the REC VIEW function (which displays an image immediately after capture) when the monitor's backlight is set to off. It can be downloaded from www.olympus.co.jp/en/support/imsg/digicamera/download/software/firm/e1/.

The update must be installed via the Olympus Master software.  To download and install this firmware update, connect the camera via USB to the computer and log onto the internet. Choose the Update Camera function from the Online Service menu in the Olympus Master software and the update will commence immediately.
