Olympus Introduces Mju 7020

July 24, 2009: September 2009 will see the release on the Olympus Mju 7020 digital compact camera, which comes with new Magic Filters that turn everyday scenes into unique images.

Designed for snapshoooters, the 12-megapixel Mju 7020 has a 7x optical zoom lens (28-196mm equivalent in 35mm format) and 3-inch LCD monitor.  It also comes with the Olympus-original TruePic III image processing engine and includes the same Art Filter technology as found in the advanced E-30 and E-620 digital SLR cameras and new PEN camera. Four Magic Filter effects are provided: Pop, Pinhole, Sketch and Fish-eye.

The Mju 7020 also features a new AF Tracking system that tracks moving subjects, enabling users to take sharp action shots. A Dual Shakeproof image stabilisation combines a CCD-shift image stabiliser based on the stabilising algorithm used with Olympus digital SLR cameras with ISO boosting to minimise blurring due to camera shake.

A new "Olympus Recommends" (OR) button gives immediate access to useful functions and Colour Universal Design labelling ensures easy visibility for the sight impaired users.

The Mju 7020 will be offered in dark grey, silver and red. Pricing has yet to be announced. Full product details can be found at www.olympus.com.au.
