Nikon Software Updates

March 28, 2009: Nikon has announced updates for its imaging software, including the bundled software with the company's digital cameras.

Nikon ViewNX 1.3.0 and Transfer 1.4.0 for Mac and Windows include expansion of the functions that can be adjusted in the Quick Adjustment palette and better integration between the GeoTagging function and Google Earth as well as a new tool for editing metadata in the GeoTag function. Processing support for NRW.RAW files from the Coolpix P6000 is also included. The new software can be downloaded from the Service & Support pages at www.nikon.com.au.

Nikon has also released RAW Codec 1.6.0 for Windows Vista and XP and added support for NEF.RAW files from the D3X DSLR. An update for Capture NX2 (v.2.2) that will expand lens correction functions and improve batch processing speeds is scheduled for release next month.
