New Software from ACD Systems

October 3, 2008: ACD Systems International has released version 2.5 of its popular ACDSee Pro Photo Manager workflow management software for professional and advanced amateur photographers.

Offering improved digital asset management, greater editing flexibility, and enhanced usability, the new version can be used with both raw and JPEG files. New import facilities allow users to specify which images they want to import with Import's thumbnail viewing window. They can also choose whether to select your thumbnails by date or file type and specify the destination for the images on the computer. Images can be sent either to existing folders or new folders based on preferred criteria, such as date or subject. An additional back-up destination can also be specified.

Metadata editing has also been improved and users can add copyright information, the author's name and other details in the Import tool. Import settings can be saved as presets for future use and you can keep working in ACDSee Pro 2.5 while files are being imported. ACDSee Pro Photo Manager 2.5 is available for download from www.ACDSee.com for US$129.99.
