New Profoto Battery Packs

March 15, 2010: Profoto has released two new professional lighting battery packs that are lighter, faster and longer-lasting than their predecessors.

Equipped with the latest generation of electronic components and Lithium-ion Iron Phospate battery technology, the new Acute B2 600 AirS and the Pro-B3 1200 AirS are equipped with the new system Radio Air Sync and compatible with the Profoto LST ‘Light Shaping Tools', which include more than 120 accessories. The Pro-B3 1200 AirS is claimed as the fastest battery generator on the market. It carries higher stored energy and gives faster recycling time with less weight. Measuring only 17 x 24 x 28 cm and weighing 8.8 kilograms, it can support up to 300 flashes/charge on maximum power and more than 30 000 at minimum power.

The new Acute B2 600 AirS is an ultra-portable battery generator weighing only 3.3 kilograms and measuring 19 x 13.5 x 20 cm. Offered with a choice of either a Lithium Ion Iron Phosphate battery or a Lead Acid battery, this unit comes with Air Sync and improved internal electronics.  The New Lithium Ion Iron Phosphate battery has higher stored energy and gives faster recycling time with less weight. It supports up to 200 flashes/charge on maximum and more than 12 000 flashes/charge on lowest power.
