March 7, 2010: Concurrent with the release of the new G-Series cameras, Panasonic Australia will release a new standard zoom lens for the Lumix G Micro System, compliant with the Micro Four Thirds System standard.
The ultra-compact and light weight Lumix G Vario 14-42mm / F3.5-5.6 ASPH. / MEGA O.I.S. lens covers a popular zoom range equivalent to 28-84mm on a 35mm camera. This new kit lens will be suitable for a wide range of subject types, including portraiture and landscape photography. Features include an internal focusing design driven by a stepping motor, which provides fast and accurate autofocusing plus quiet operation. The inclusion of an aspherical lens element improves optical performance by minimising distortion at wide angles.
