New Leica Pradovit Projector

May 7, 2009: Leica has released the latest Pradovit D-1200 projector, which features a Vario-Elmarit-P f/2.8-3.1 33-42mm high speed lens.

Leica's first digital projector for high-end applications, the D-1200 is the smallest and lightest projector in its class, with a magnesium alloy body weighing only 3.6 kilograms. The optics are designed to provide outstanding brightness and contrast and deliver a projection range from roughly one to 15 metres.  This is equivalent to a screen width between approximately 0.5 m and 6.8 m. The picture diagonals run from 0.6 m to 11 m, allowing the projected image to be adapted to many different types of rooms and situations.

Integrating DLP (Digital Light Processing) display technology from Texas Instruments, the Pradovit D-1200 provides a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels (WUXGA). Optimally matched colour management delivers photo-realistic image reproduction in 16:10 format, with a contrast ratio in excess of 2500:1 plus a brightness of about 1400 ANSI lumens.

The Pradovit D-1200 offers a wide range of connectivity options for
linking a computer, laptop, DVD, Blu-ray or HD-DVD player, HD camcorder or HDTV receiver. As well as the customary composite and S video interfaces, it provides component, HDMI1.3 and DVI digital interfaces plus ports for LAN and VGA cables.

Leica's Pradovit D-1200 carries an RRP of $19,999. For more information, phone Adeal on 1300 723 001 or visit www.adeal.com.au. Full product information is available at
