Manfrotto's New Ball Head Range

March 1, 2010: Manfrotto has released a new range of ball heads for its tripods, offering different solutions for different needs and covering a payload range from 2kg to 8kg.

The new ball head family consists of four models, rated by payload. They come with either a standard 1/4-inch camera mount thread or a quick-release plate (designated by the RC2 suffix). New features include:
- a completely new friction control, which gives the photographer more precision for  moving the camera and provides increased security.
- a repositionable locking lever that can be placed in the most convenient position for the photographer to handle it.
- models with the quick release plate include an additional safety system to prevent the accidental detaching of the camera from the head.
