Lexar Updates CF and SDHC Cards

March 16, 2010: Lexar Media has announced improvements to its Professional line of CompactFlash (CF) and Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC) memory cards in the form of higher capacities and faster speeds.

The capacity of the company's Professional 300x CF cards has been increased to 32GB to cater better for high-resolution DSLR cameras that offer video recording. For cameras using smaller cards, the Lexar Professional 133x SDHC memory cards now offer the maximum Class 10 speed rating. This provides a minimum sustained write speed of 20MB per second for shooting higher-resolution images and large-sized, high-definition video files.

The Lexar Professional 300x CF and 133x Class 10 SDHC cards are available now from www.Lexar.com as well as in specialty photo retailers and consumer electronics outlets including Camera House, Dick Smith Electronics, Harvey Norman, Myer and Teds. The Lexar Professional 300x CF cards are available in three capacities and  carry the following RRPs: 8GB  ($124.60), 16GB ($177.35) and 32GB ($238.70). Lexar's Professional 133x SDHC is sold in 4GB (RRP $56.80) and 8GB ($117.20) capacities.

Australian distributors of Lexar Media products include: Cellnet Group Limited - Ph: 1300 235 563 and WestGroup International - Ph: 1300 130 578.  Customers can also access the Lexar Digital Photography website, a dedicated, online resource and tips destination (http://www.lexar.com/dp/), and can also leverage phone and live-chat tech support
