Four more frames from Sony

June 10, 2009: Sony has released another four digital photo frames in a market which is getting very crowded.

The frames range from a 7-inch model for $199 way up to a 10-inch model for $549.

The additions are...

DPF-E72: Three inter-changeable coloured frame bezels (black, red, brown), 7-inch QVGA LCD screen, (480 x 234), 128MB internal memory, automatic orientation sensor, photo slideshow capabilities, compatible with MS/SD/xD cards (not CF). Comes with a remote control unit. RRP: $199

DPF-D72 (pictured right): 1GB storage – sufficient for 2000 photos, WVGA LCD screen (800 x 480), automatic orientation sensor, slideshow playback, clock and calendar modes, compatible with MS/SD/xD and CF cards. Remote control included. Aspect ratio 15:9. RRP: $279

DPF-D92: 9-inch, 800 x 480 resolution screen, 1GB memory, some Bluetooth capabilities (eg, download images from mobile phones) , automatic orientation, photo slideshow, alarm clock function, clock and calendar modes, Slots for MS/SD/xD and CF cards, remote control. RRP: $399

DPFV-1000: Larger 10.2-inch 1024x600 resolution LCD screen, Sony “BIONZ” Processor for improved image quality, 1GB internal memory, Auto Touch-up Technology, PhotoTV via HDMI output, auto dimmer mode, Bluetooth dowload from mobiles, etc, auto orientation, photo slideshow/scrapbook mode, alarm clock function, clock and calendar modes. Auto on/off settings. Slots for MS/SD/xD and CF cards, remote control. RRP: $549 (ouch!)
