"The Christmas Tree Bucket" Exhibition

November 13, 2008: The latest exhibition by Australian photographer, Trent Parke, opens at the Australian Centre for Photography, in Paddington Sydney, on November 21.

Heralding the "delights" of the festive season, this exhibition presents
the family rituals of Christmas with the in-laws and builds a gritty gothic tale of a nightmare lurking in the suburban shadows. Described as operatic in its vision and darkly satirical in its style, "The Christmas Tree Bucket" is claimed as a photographic masterpiece destined for cult status. The exhibition has been sponsored by HP Designjet printers as part of HP's global partnership with Magnum Photos.

Trent Parke is represented by Magnum Photos, London, and Stills Gallery, Sydney.  The Australian Centre for Photography is located at 257 Oxford Street Paddington.  For Gallery opening hours please visit www.acp.org.au.
