Portraits in the Park Exhibition

October 14, 2008: An exhibition of pinhole camera portraits by Anthony Browell will go on show for three days - 20 to 22 November, inclusive - in Sydney's Hyde Park.

The pictures, which were taken over a period of two years, will be displayed in a special 8 x 8 metre tent, the Pop-Up Gallery, which has been erected specifically for that purpose. The exhibition will present approximately 40 large-scale photographs (20x24 inches in size) and the tent environment offers an intimate experience, equivalent to being in a gallery. All pictures were taken with a handmade 10 x 8-inch wooden-box pinhole camera, which will be on display during the exhibition.

Entry will be free.
Portraits in the Park will also continue at Point Light Gallery at Level 1/50 Reservoir Street, Surry Hills from 22 November to 21 December.
