Panasonic Announces Lumix Life Winners

August 9, 2010: Panasonic has released details of the winners of its Lumix Life - Focus on Australia project.

One hundred winning images were selected from more than 7,000 entries from amateur photographers all around Australia. The judging panel comprised leading photographers: Ken Duncan, Peter Eastway, Bill Bachman, Leo Meier, Nick Rains, Frances Mocnik, Ted Grambeau and Hugh Brown plus journalist, Ray Martin.

The winning images will be published alongside those of professionals in a book, ‘Focus on Australia', which goes on sale in November. As well as showcasing the best of Australian life book will also include vibrant representations of some truly ‘Australian' identities.  Proceeds from the sale of ‘LUMIX Life - Focus on Australia' will be used to help fund ‘Walk a While', an indigenous arts educational program which gives indigenous youth access to training and technology in the areas of photography, film and music.
