'Eight Sixty' Photo Exhibition

August 13, 2008: "Eight Sixty" is the title of a photographic exhibition by Rick Carter, which opens at the Blender Gallery in Paddington (Sydney) on 9 October.

Capturing the changing face of India, the images contrast
the vast scale of poverty in India with the dignity, empowerment and hope of local families who have been transformed through the support of not-for-profit Opportunity International Australia. The exhibition will be opened by Senior Australian of the Year 2008, David Bussau, at 6 pm on Thursday 9 October. It will run for three weeks and will coincide with the UN's International Day for the Eradication of Poverty on October 17th.

Blender Gallery is located at 16 Elizabeth Street, Paddingtom. The exhibition will be on show from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm. For more information visit www.blender.com.au or phone (02) 9380 7080. Rick Carter's photography can be viewed at
